When I got the opportunity to pitch for this website commission, it was an exciting and prestigious prospect to work with renowned lawyer Zep Bellavia and the ability to add something new and different to my body of work. Zep's knowledge of how people and businesses succeed is just as important to his clients as his legal knowledge and skills. He enjoys working closely with clients, developing innovative ways of delivering their highly specialised legal services.

I was aware that the website needed to have all of the functionality required, as well as portraying the balance between corporate and the individual approach that the business offers, and that sets them apart from other companies in their field.

The website was a joy to work on, with Zep and his team offering lots of advice, but also giving me more of a free reign to build the site that I felt reflected their business. I feel the end result has combined the feel of both.

Alongside the website I also pitched to update their corporate photography to be used both on the new website and where needed on social media and press releases.

It was great to photograph in an interesting and visually strong location, which provided great backdrops for the portraiture and detail shots that I was able to capture. The team members were all great to work with and at ease with the various shots and direction I offered.

The strong almost monochrome feel to the photographs was a deliberate feel which was complimented both by the clothing chosen as well as the dark wood that adorned parts of the office building. These give a professional and corporate feel as well as an individuality which represents the business and it’s location.

The umbrella’s in the first shot were not just self promotion, we did actually have rain that day, but that made the light and tones nicely balanced in the photographs and it made us adapt our workflow to capture some strong outdoor shots!
